2021
One year after its foundation, Cranky Bodies a/company invites you to an encounter in urban space. The ensemble’s characteristic close interweaving of choreographic and visual levels opens up to the unpredictability and discontinuity of public space, following their explorations that begun with the film CRANKY BODIES DANCE RESET Extended made earlier this year.
The ensemble explores the effect of the surrounding architecture and urban nature on its own web of relationships between dance and transitional sculptures. How will relations and participation be conceived within these procedures in public, urban space, and what new forms of choreographic thinking will result? How can the ensemble approach the utopian idea of a radical co-presence of simultaneities?
The performance was shown at the invitation of DOCK 11/EDEN***** in Schlosspark Pankow, as well as in the context of the performance series Movement Research | Testplatz Wedding of Galerie Wedding.
